a bit about jeena
Jeena is a graduate of Columbia University's MFA Acting program where she studied under greats like Andrei Serban, Anne Bogart, and Kristin Linklater. She was recently seen playing Kate in Second Stage Uptown's production of Somebody's Daughter by Chisa Hutchinson and Tong in Qui Nguyen's Vietgone at The Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Other credits include Bo in the US Premiere of Tom Stoppards new play The Hard Problem directed by Blanka Zizka at The Wilma Theater, Grace in Lights Rise on Grace by Chad Beckim and directed by Michael John Garcés at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, and Amanda in Amy Herzog's 4000 Miles at The Hangar Theatre.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, she is the youngest of three and the only daughter of immigrant parents. Growing up she and her brothers would spend summers making movies with her dad's camcorder and systematically breaking all of their mother's china by playing hockey and X-Men in the house. (Sorry mom)
In an effort to keep them from breaking things, Jeena's father took her to the movies and the library every week. Instilling a love and pure joy of storytelling that she is forever grateful for.
